Its pretty strange, just after i make myself some coffee, maybe turn on the tv, put on some music and is just about to lay down on my bed after a LONG day to relax.. Pzzzt! there goes the freakin’ light! I look outside the window and the new stupid fountain built near the sea (which supposedly cost 25m rupees) is running in its full glory consuming all the electricity it can! Huh? What the hell.. Open up the Dawn newspaper and you’ll see our bloated President claiming Pakistan as a country is progressing. Yeah Right! :p Maybe it is.. but only backwards! I guess constant power breakdowns are part and parcel of living in Karachi. Its about time the govt. started paying due attention or i’ll be forced to run for President one day!Sunday, July 01, 2007

Its pretty unsual for a blogger to start his journey here with a post like this - Power Breakdown. But then, blogging is all about being unusual (Regular guys havent taken up blogging yet !).

waisay this power shortage has caused evrybdy alot of pain! i hope they do sumthg abt it soon, o/w mushtaayil afraad(agitated ppl) me aik naam aur hoga ;) !
PS: dont insult the fountain yaar! atleast it has one thing which the big guns of this country dont ...... GLORYYYYY ;) !!!
Electricity fluctuations and breakdowns are not restricted to Karachi only but it has become a nuisance for every citizen of this country.
I don’t know that how much government has spent on Fountain etc but it has to do a little with the shutdown problem at Karachi. The main problem is KESC Privatization.
Our Government had privatized Pakistan Telecommunication and it is providing its service better. More was expected when KESC was privatized, but I guess it went to the hands of erroneous group of people making KESC progress even worse.
Our Government (Musharraf) really needs to take some important measures regarding this electricity problem countrywide or otherwise I won’t have to think a good deal to vote for you!
Keep it UP!
ONe more thing, Ada Mommy also appraised your writing skills and enjoyed reading this blog..
